For more info and additional high-resolution photos, visit dcsax.com!142,xxx Selmer Mark VI alto saxophone. Here's a 1967 Mark VI alto saxophone in excellent condition, right in the middle of the finest range of altos Selmer ever produced. Selmer reintroduced the medium bow shortly before this horn was made. The 140's altos tend to have extra complexity, power and depth to the sound compared to later models. This is the s/n range that David Sanborn plays and collects. This sax has an original vertical Mark VI stamp near the LH thumb rest. The horn is in excellent overall condition. The original silver plating is nearly 100% original and intact. The horn was recently serviced and all pads are sealing well. The entire range of the horn speaks evenly and effortlessly. I believe the case is original to the horn, although one of the latches will need to be replaced. Sonically, this horn has a huge, full sound. It has a very large dynamic range. The horn plays effortlessly from low Bb to high F. I invite you to try this saxophone risk free. US buyers are free to return the sax for any reason, provided you pay shipping and insurance both ways.
