The real deal! Sounds stunning, forget the pedals which claim to sound like these old tape echoes like the Strymon el capistan and Catalinbread Belle Epoch, hey sound great in their own way but don't come close to the huge 3D tones from a real vintage unit. If you want the proper tape echo sound then you need the real deal unit. The pre amp in these is just as legendary and is copied in pedals like the Xotic EP booster and Dunlop Echoplex pre, however again in my opinion these don't sound close to the real deal. A secret tone weapon of Led Zeppelins Jimmy Page and Eddie Van Halen was reports fly using these as a pre amp and I can see why, the tone is nailed with one of these. It's a vintage unit so here is some noise compared to a modern clinical digital pedal but it's worth it and only the noise you hear on old records of you listen carefully. It's a heavy unit so postage will be expensive as I only ship fracked and insured or you are welcome to collect it The Echoplex is US voltage so needs a transformer which I can supply for an extra £30.
