Up for sale is a Rare 1995 Stelling Alan Munde Staghorn 5-String Banjo in Excellent Condition. From Figured Woods to Etched Hardware and Abalone Purfling/Inlays, this is one of Stellings most Stunning instruments. This banjo has been professionally refretted and the solid Abalone Truss-Rod cover engraved from a previous owner (pictured with it flipped over), otherwise this banjo is All-Original and in Exceptional Condition especially for its age. Scale Length 26-1/4"; Weight is 11lbs-14oz; spikes at 6-10. Structurally this banjo is Solid with zero issue: Neck is straight with zero-fret wear; All hardware solid, straight, free-moving and working properly; no cracks, warps, etc - Solid! Cosmetically, this guitar has some typical/minor 'settling' from age, and wear/tarnish at normal contact points that occur form enough playing to warrant a refret(eg:tarnish on armrest; 'fading' on back of neck at 1st few frets(see pics), etc), but with close inspection, it is obvious that this banjo has been babied and well cared for - any marks/dings etc are extremely minor and pretty hard to find(eg: some very light/shallow/minor 'marks/worming' on the back of the resonator that I have to hold up to the light to see) - Very clean overall. This is a 20+ year-old banjo that's been played - if you're looking for anything 'near-new', this is not for you - if you've been looking for one of these, especially from this era, you'd be hard pressed to find one that's been played at all in any nicer condition - exceptional for it's age. This banjo looks, plays, sounds great and needs nothing. It includes the Original Hardshell Case pictured that has a high-quality 'belt-buckle' handle and is in overall good condition for its age. Rare opportunity to own a very special instrument.
