Description
Brand: Gibson Exact Year: 1944

The Gibson L-7 model was a well constructed professional grade budget friendly archtop guitar. The L-7 had a fair amount of fancy adornments for a budget model such as a script pearl inlay, multiple layers of binding and a 17″ wide body (after 1935). The attractively figured Maple back and sides are wonderfully understated by the dark brown finish. This 1944 example is in very good condition, no cracks or repairs. The finish is checked but still fully intact. There is a mark near the treble side bridge foot which is visible one of the photos. Otherwise there are a few scratches here and there but overall the finish is nice and shiny. All of the hardware is original with exception to a replacement pickguard. I am also including another pickguard with a minihumbucker mounted on it. The tuners are original and function very well. They are not bound up or creaky. The neck is straight, the truss rod is fully operational, and the guitar has nice low action. The frets are original and do have some wear, but overall it's a great player. There is still adjustment to the bridge. The guitar comes with the original case which is in very nice shape as well.
