If you need diversity in a guitar this is "it"! Great action, sound and good looking too!Whether you are a blues, jazz, country or rock player the semi -hollow body combined with the DiMarzio qy100 pickups(which were made just for this guitar) can rock, twang, cry or give you a round jazzy tone that will allow you to gig with one guitar.This guitar has one cosmetic flaw, a binding repair (by Yamaha), at 5 o'clock on the lower bout. I bought it 10 years ago, used from a guitar store in Oregon that is no longer in business. It is stamped , very lightly, on the headstock "used". It may have that stamp due to the binding repair which is barely noticeable. There is a close up picture showing the flaw.If you go to the Yamaha website they brag that this guitar is "Archtop Royalty"I feel it a great guitar , maybe not a king or queen, but easily a prince or princess!Spruce top, laminate, rosewood fretboard, beautiful headstock and bixby tail that shows maybe 5% pitting.No cracking in the finish, shines as well as she sings.
