This is a Jaeger Original Etui case for violin. The shell is of laminate wood, the exterior is made of faux alligator, and the interior of velvet, with an attached blanket to cover the top of the instrument. It has luxury brass hardware, a functioning hygrometer, 4 bow spinners, a large shoulder-rest pocket, and two small pockets for other accessories (mutes, rosin, etc.). With the exception of the well-repaired and slightly worn-out handle (see pictures) and a bow spinner that is not properly working and another missing the velvet cover, the overall condition is very good. This luxury case is no longer in production, so this is a good opportunity to own a collectible item in very good, working condition. The newer model of this case, produced by Gewa, sells for over $1,500. I am selling this for $600 OBO with free shipping (USPS first class package) across the 48 continental states.
