About the Conneaut Audio Equitek E-350 Large Diaphragm, Multi-Pattern Condenser Microphone...The Equitek E-350 was an improved version of the E-300 multi pattern condenser, offering three polar patterns, a large-diaphragm capsule, -20dB pad, and CAD’s proprietary Op-Amp “Equitek” transformerless amplifier circuitry.Whereas the E-300 featured a Made in China large-diaphragm capsule, the E-350 used a proprietary US-madecapsule which was manufactured in CAD’s Conneaut, Ohio facility.This “Optema OS-110” capsule would be used in many of CAD’s microphones, including the VSM, dual-tube VX2, and first generation M177 and M179 (the manufacturing of which would later be outsourced to an offshore factory).
