Lucky you, If you have not experienced the James Kanter sound please listen to his recordings - he did most of the movie music for Hollywood and if you hear a beautiful clarinet solo in one of your favorite movies - more than likely it is James Kanter playing. This is Model 715 which is engraved to the right of the Lower Table with Mr. Kanter's number #1025 dating to 1980's. FRANCE is engraved to the Lower Left of the Table. This is an original Riffault blank Mouthpiece which has been refaced/ touched up by Ramon Wodkowski who studied mouthpiece refacing from the great James Kanter himself. Condition is USED but plays AMAZING - the Table, Side Rails, Tip Rail, & vamp. - There are some calcium deposits which can be removed with a good cleaning. Playing with a V-12 #3.5 this AUDITION QUALITY Mouthpiece has a beautiful, ringing sound & tunes nicely. This mouthpiece is truly amazing. It was in storage for about 5 years and when I took the mouthpiece patch off there is still some glue stuck to the top of the mouthpiece - this does not affect the playing as I would assume most people would use a patch anyways while they play. I bought this mouthpiece from a student of David Shifrin's who played on a lot of Kanter mouthpieces especially while he was teaching at Yale.
