Up for your review is a really outstanding gently used amplifier. This is a JZ-50 AMP from the folks at Vintage Sound Amps in Florida. This Hand wired, USA made, all tube, non-catalog model is based on the VINTAGE line of VSA's product catalog. To my knowledge, they are still a special order item at this point...
This is a SINGLE CHANNEL, ALL-TUBE, amp which is specially crafted for those exceptionally fat, juicy jazz tones. VSA has taken the AB-763 circuit of Leo's chassis design, and eliminated the clean channel and vibrato function. What you have left is essentially a Princeton sized and weight 50 watt all-tube amp with deep, luscious reverb. The amp has two unique inputs and what is very different and cool about this VSA product, is that each of the individual inputs are crafted to have a different effect on the sound of your instrument. One channel for solid or semi-solid instruments, and the other voiced to particularly enhance hollow, archtop instruments. Pretty neat if you're a jazz, be-bop or swing player right? Well it's also pretty neat if you're a blues, country, or rock player too. Versatile to the max. Play with both inputs to see which one suits your style and taste the best. Per a question asked by an interested party, this amp utilizes two (2) 6L6 power tubes................NOT 6V6 tubes.
This amp was built in September of 2014. Remember, this is a custom built, non-catalog item, so you won't see many of these around, and probably NEVER at a retail establishment.
So if it is so great, then why am I selling it? Well, there are a couple of reasons for me parting with it. First of all, I have found a vintage guitar locally that I'm trying to get funds for.....that's the main reason. The second reason is that a 50 watt RMS amp is just too much horsepower for the venues I'm playing these days. I play small restaurants and house parties and as such, never turn this amp over 3 and still have my guitar volume just barely cracked open at all. Size is approx. 20x16x9 with weight at 30 lbs. approx. Very easy to transport and easy on the back when carrying it to and from your vehicle.
I am not a music store, nor am I a collector; just a guitar player. So please examine the photos and understand what you are bidding on prior to placing your bid as I do not accept returns. Payment via PAYPAL.COM. Delivery to verified paypal STREET ADDRESSES in the Lower 48 USA only. No PO Boxes, no APO, no 3rd party deliveries, etc.
