This is a beautiful, vintage Kohlert wooden bassoon, made in Germany. I am a semiprofessional bassoonist who, unfortunately, have come down with palsy and can no longer control my thumbs. This bassoon has been lovingly cared for and played consistently but it must move on to someone who will continue playing this wonderful instrument. It comes with it's Bonna Bag ($500 alone), reed-making supplied ($350 alone), reed blanks, tuner and a lot of Bassoon music (see pics) that I have gathered from around the world. It is priced to sell, but I would like it to go to someone who will know that it is being played and not just sitting in a closet gathering dust. Thank you.
