Description

This amp was fully restored by Roger P. Gastrow who has over forty years of Amplifier restoration under his belt, is the creator of RPG Pedals, also restores Serge Analog Sythesizers, has many green energy projects, and is a local legend here in Milwaukee for his knowledge of electronic circuit and music.

Here is Roger's description of this Super Reverb Head conversion:"The chassis started off as a Fender Bantam Bass. These were made in 69/70 out of left over Super parts from the mid 60s and the eyelet board, power transformer, and chassis are identical. The rest of the parts are Fender (the output transformer is a NOS super reverb transformer and the reverb unit is from a 66 super as is the cut down cabinet). It has been re-tolexed and has new correct grille cloth. The wiring is the PVC wiring they started using in 69 and is a big improvement over the cloth push back wire from previous years. Input and volume control wiring is shielded (another big improvement). Circuit design is AB763 and all the strange oddities like underrated plate resistors and cap problems have been replaced. The amp works very well and sounds great... just like it should. The output tubes are USA made, likely Sylvania. Power supply caps have been changed out."This amplifier sounds amazing, the reverb tank is splashy much like the early Fender Tanks from the 50's. It is in EXC+ condition and ready to rock.
