This 5 string is in very decent shape, as I hope the pictures show. The original Deering case is good likewise. Everything's original excepting the bridge. I am the second owner, and the banjo came equipped with a big honking bridge which I will include. I replaced it with a Sullivan Historic bridge, 5/8ths " and standard spacing. Also, I'm including a fresh set of Martin strings.
I am not a smoker, but the first owner apparently was, judging by the smell of the banjo when it arrived a couple of years ago. I carefully cleaned and polished the maple and the metal plating, and aired the case. Bottom line is it's a lot better now, but not totally perfect. As I said earlier, I'm not a smoker and I'm fine with it. You may not be, though, so please take heed. I'm selling due to some trigger finger in my right hand, which surgery did not fix.
