McCarty Archtop II 1998 McCarty Archtop II has a Ten Top Quilty Maple top - the highest grade of figured Maple available on a PRS guitar. Other features include a Mahogany neck with a Rosewood fretboard, Mahogany core, 25" scale length, two PRS McCarty Archtop humbuckers, and PRS tuners. This Archtop is in excellent condition, and a great guitar for players looking to cover a wide variety of styles from Rock to Blues, and Jazz and everything in between. I'm selling a hard to find 1998 PRS Archtop II With A Killer 10 Top In Natural...Pictures to this guitar no justice. These are getting very hard to find as they were only made for a short time. I'd say its in excellent condition for being 19 years old with only minimum signs of ware… I can only see a 2 tiny dings marks on back, lower bout edge, (ware binding would be if this was a traditional guitar), hard to see - you need to move it around the light to see them, I tried to show it in the pics but I can’t seem to get that close, one is 8mm the other is 3mm, Also one 5mm scratch on the top between bridge and F hole, it’s in the finish and this too
you need to move it around the light to see it, and tiny clear spot on the tippy top of headstock ware it’s ben bumped but the finish isn’t broke just clouded over, the size of a pin head.Like a lot of PRS guitars of this era, this one has the cloudiness in the finish, but only on the neck heel side ware your hand would touch, I also tried to show it in one of the pics, and little to none tarnish on hardware...I'm being very particular…All original condition too...Feels like the wide/fat neck but a nice average size. Comes in the original PRS hardshell case. Sorry no case candy included as it was missing when I got it.
