Hello and welcome to my auction,a very unique and incredible treat here, this 'used condition' and strikingly beautiful Epiphone SG400 Custom Eric Clapton / Todd Rundgren "Fool SG" has been custom refinished by the guys over at The Painted Player Guitar Co. and it is a real beauty, satin lacquer finished to bring out the brush strokes but preserve the paint - this is the real deal for fans! I have a few guitars from these guys now and I sent them my Epiphone SG a couple of years ago to be refinished in this classic paint job because I have been a massive fan of the guitar for many years and the job they did is amazing (as you can see), so much so that I have saved up to order a Gibson one from them, so this one has to go in order to help towards funding that project and some new studio equipment.The base instrument itself is an Epiphone SG400 (serial number: U03014195), really nice build quality (cost me £249 when I bought it new) and comfortable to play featuring the Fool SG 'worn' neck like Clapton's original for faster, smoother playing as well as a couple of Gibson upgrades - a set of Gibson Kluson Deluxe Keystone Tuners and Gibson Gold Les Paul Speed Knobs.Overall I have enjoyed her and she has seen some action (before and after being painted) but she has been a wall-hanger for the last few months and a beautiful talking point. The condition is 'used' so expect some signs of use, wear, marks etc. but nothing through the paintwork (which is almost immaculate) and the fingerboard / frets are like new, amazing condition with no problems plus a nice smooth wiring loom with no unwanted buzz.I have priced to sell, she is sold 'as seen' and ready to enjoy - great for any musician, you can't get much better looking than this at this price!
