This may be the nicest one on the planet! Even the case is near mint. Sounds fantastic and looks fantastic. If you only want one lap steel in your collection then this is the one you want. Vintage Gibson Recording King Roy Smeck AB-104 (1023) ELECTRIC LAP STEEL GUITAR. Made by Gibson, this lap steel is similar to Gibson's EH150 with Charlie Christian pickup  but much cooler. Serial number 445-21 is in absolutely impeccable !00% all original condition, with no issues whatsoever. Bell shaped body, a flamed-maple construction. This is as about as clean as they come and it includes the original multi-striped motif Tweed hard sheel case. This '42 Recording King Roy Smeck AB-104 lap steel features a double bound bell-shaped body with a 10" lower bout, dark tobacco sunburst finish over highly figured maple, bound maple neck. Brazilian rosewood fingerboard with 29 inlaid fret lines and pearl dor inlays, 2" nut width, 22-3/8" scale, single split-magnet pickup in white-bound black oval housing. Early brown bakelite art deco knobs, nicke hardware, pearl crown and block headstock inlays, individual Grover tuning machines with oval plastic buttons. With a robust and rich tone, this lap steel sounds like it's Gibson EH-150 counter part...but much cooler looking. Incredibly dynamic and sweet. Don't miss out, this is a great opportunity to own one of the coolest vintage lap steels ever made
