Description
Brand: Webster-Chicago Model: 66-1a
Exact Year: 1947 Country//Region of Manufacture: United States

This is a rare, vintage 1947 Webster 66-1a tube combo amplifier. This super portable amp was originally intended as an amplifier for Webster-Chicago wire recorders, and designed to have tons of clean headroom - they didn't like distortion back in the day! With a tube compliment of 2 6V6's for power, a 6N7 preamp, and a 5Y3 rectifier, this amp pushes somewhere between 10-15 Watts of clean power through an 8" speaker.  It is all original, but its input has been converted to a 1/4" instrument cable. A favorite for harp players, this ol' amp is sounds phenomenal and is a breeze to use: volume and tone - what else do you need? GREAT for recording. We have a demo available on our Soundcloud page - message us for a link! Please feel free to ask any questions or call for an in-hand description!Division Street Guitars
