2.4 Kinko ryu instrument in pristine shape. Gold liner under buffalo utaguchi, full bamboo inlay. This is an excellent example of Monty Levinson's laser technology to make a flawless bore. The root end is stunning coming from choice madake' bamboo from Chiba. Flutes of this length and quality take significantly longer to make after finding just the right bamboo.The tuning is perfect and the tone center is easy to find and adjust as subtly as the player's skill will allow. Originally this was $4250 as the pinnacle of Monty's work. The bamboo selection makes this piece as lovely aesthetically as it is musically. The figuring on the bamboo is exquisite. It has been played and approved by professionals and teachers. Will be very carefully packed and insured.International shipping pays actual cost.
