This is your final chance to make my utterly unobtainable Crimson Flyer a treasured part of your personal collection..... Price slashed to an unbelievable $999.99!Exceptionally rare & 100% original!       Up for your consideration is my '92 Crimson Flyer in superb condition. Never gigged and in perfect working order. I have recently retired & will be relocating to a new home that does not give me the opportunity to maintain my personal music room or what has been lovingly referred to as, my "Gretsch Shrine".  Over the years I have strived to maintain what I consider to be one of the finest individual Gretsch collections that I am aware of.  Now I'm down to one....I'm certain that 99% of you are just lookers & that's great, I do it myself.  But to one of you, this is going to be an exceptional experience.  I am not looking to get the top dollar that it’s worth, I just want to see that it get's the home that it deserves at a fair price. Please take the time to scrounge the internet & do your homework  on this guitar. It is impossible to find a better one. Honestly, it is impossible to find one at all.  It's priced way below its value & if it doesn't sell, I guess I'll figure that fate just didn't want it to leave me. At this point I guess that I could keep one.....  But, my goal has been to pass on my entire collection & I assume that if you are looking you are fully aware of what this guitar is, its history, practicality & investment potential.  If you are looking for something to bang around on with your buddies, get a Dean.  If you want a quality instrument that will forever hold its place in history then you should seriously consider this Crimson Flyer. This gorgeous acoustic-electric is pre-Fender & was made in the Terada, Japan factory under the new leadership of Fred Gretsch. The Crimson Flyer boasts some rather unique appointments, like the gold Bigsby tremolo tailpiece & fixed roller bridge on a rosewood base with gold hardware & the triangle soundhole with Ovation-style ornamentation. It is a single-cutaway, thinline acoustic with multi-bound top & back & solid spruce top with abalone purfling.  The body is arched & has an unblemished flame chestnut back & sides with some absolutely gorgeous figuring in the wood.  Its thin-body gives the guitar tons of punch & sparkle. The slender neck is very comfortable anywhere on the fretboard. It has a slim profile with a dark rosewood fingerboard, pearloid dot inlays & floral design in the 12th fret. The neck is straight & the truss rod operates as it should. Frets are in great shape with hardly any noticeable wear.  The neck meets the body with a single-coil, passive soundhole pickup. Volume & tone controls are easily accessible and in perfect working orderBound headstock with flame overlay & mother of pearl Gretsch logo. Gold tuners with "G" Arrow logo. Tuners are in perfect working condition. 1 11/16" nut width; 25 1/2" scale length. Guitar weighs 5 lbs 13.5 oz. Please note that there is no hard shell case included with this offering. In that I always kept it on my wall (note the dust by the controls) I never felt the need for a case. However, I did find a Dean archtop case that fit it perfectly but that was sold with the Dean several years ago.  I'm sure with some effort you could find a suitable case if you felt the need for one.  I will also gladly throw in a Hercules wall mount if you want to display this beauty as I did. That said, I will pack it professionally & include a canvas Dean gig bag for added shipment protection. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE... look all you want but only bid on this if you are committed.  I have sold several guitars in the past (check my feedbacks) & occasionally there's one clown who just screws it up for everyone else.  So, if you are a clown, find a circus.  If you are a serious guitarist, collector or looker, welcome to my auction. Although I cannot imagine why anyone would want to return this guitar, I will accept a return if you pay the shipping costs.  I can fully understand getting "caught" buying a guitar.  It's happened to me before. It's not worth losing a marriage over.  It will cost you the shipping though, way cheaper than a divorce. But please, don't gig it or mess it up & then expect a clean return.  If you do return it I want it back in the same condition that you got it. So, this is it, my final offering.  I will truly miss my entire collection.  Here's hoping that this Crimson Flyer will become as valued a member of your family as it has been of mine.
