I buy "DAMAGED IN SHIPPING" guitars and repair them back to factory original condition. This guitar had a slight separation at the neck joint due to dropping while in the case and in the shipping boxes! I believe it was primarily due the the fact that Gibson used "hot hide glue" to make these guitars and accurately duplicate the original '59 335's. I have been an authorized repairman, luthier, designer, and builder since the late 70's. It is in pristine condition and the warranty was never registered. No scratches, dings, dents, not even any marks on the pick-guard Gibson tells me that according to the serial number, the date of manufacture is 2015, but wasn't offered in the catalog 'till 2016. So I'm listing it as a 2016 model. I recommend going to the Gibson site for a detailed list of features, too many to list here. There is a very detailed description on Youtube from Sweetwater Sound by a Gibson rep. but eBay doesn't allow links like that. (At least I don't know how) Very informative and worth your while to find and watch it.This was made in the Memphis plant and was a limited run (2016 & 17 according to Gibson). This model is no longer made or offered by Gibson. This model is the closest re-issue of the 1959 ES 335 than anything Gibson has ever made, down to the specific design, specific woods used, how the pickups are wired, the finish is nitrocellulos, to exactly duplicate a real '59 "Dot Neck" 335. Retail was $6,500.00! I'm starting the bidding at half that! NO RESERVE!!Will ship in the original Gibson boxes.
