Broadwood Antique Grand Piano with a Sheraton Style Inlaid Mahogany Case C.1890 A John Broadwood and Sons antique grand piano with a rare Sheraton style inlaid mahogany case, made in London circa 1890, serial number 22366. Exquisite boxwood inlay to the case and gated legs, filigree music desk, twin hinged fallboard, straight strung iron frame, 7 octaves, 85 note original keyboard, brass pedals, soft and sustain, L 218cm x W 146cm. The case is in fair condition for its age but the instrument will require restoration to return it to its original playing standard. A very fine antique centrepiece by the prodigious English maker.
Broadwood History Established in 1728, John Broadwood and Sons is the oldest and one of the most prestigious piano makers of all time.
