Vintage F. Loree Grenadilla Full Conservatory Oboe Low Bb w/ Reso Split D Banana

We wanted to start out by saying to please pardon our poor oboe terminology! This vintage oboe was made by F. Loree (matching logo on each piece) and features full conservatory mechanism but without a left F. This oboe features grenadilla wood joints and bell with NO CRACKS EVER and silver plated keywork with about 95% plating intact. There is one octave mechanism, split D, banana key, and low Bb with resonance key. This oboe would benefit from at least a COA if not a full repad. Low B and Bb pads need replacing. Oboe plays pretty decently down to low C and wanted to resonate so badly when we play-tested it that it would be a fantastic player once fully adjusted (or repadded). There is some sort of etching in the wood on each piece, unsure if it is just squiggles or if someone tried to put an old school id on it or something. This etching would be very easy to remove, we just chose to list it as-is to save you $ in the end. Unfortunately the original case is missing and we received this oboe in an unmarked case. This oboe is from a non-smoking home, no odors, and the case is in good shape. The wood is on the dry side and would greatly benefit from being oiled. Serial number BG31. From our research, this oboe fully restored and playable sells for $2500-3k+!Please note that the shipping cost will be slightly higher on this oboe due to insurance coverage.
