Eastwood Guitars Airline MAP DLX Vintage-inspired electric guitar! Deluxe Model inspired by the original National Newport model Eastwood and Airline guitars are a great value, fun to play and have a cool vibe! The Airline MAP DLX is a tribute to the vintage National Newport model electric guitar. Eastwood Guitars version, marketed under the Airline brand name, maintains the cool vibe of the original VALCO design, but addresses issues with playability, reliability and construction that those old guitars were infamous for- All at a price far below the soaring cost of the highly sought after, vintage instruments. Original MAP Res-O-Glas models now sell for $3,000-$5,000. You can own this version from Airline Guitars for a fraction of that price and it’s a phenomenal instrument for the money. “The Map Deluxe” is a well-balanced guitar which fits comfortably against the body and the medium slim neck fits nicely in the hand. The body is made from Tone Chambered Mahogany and the all wood construction gives a nice, round sound vs the rather dead sounding, original Reso-glas construction. Two killer sounding humbucker pickups and a Bigsby tremolo top off the package. A hardshell case is not included but available separately for $99.
