This sax has original Laquer and is totally overhauled with new plastic dome pads throughout. Many corks replaced as well as springs. Plays well with a good tone although may have some leaks that will seal up with playing (or take to a repair shop for check up).The overhaul was done at sam ash of white plains several years ago.Cosmetically, the horn shows original laquer finish with patina. The horn itself is in good shape with only some minor dings and the bell is very clean. The bottom curve is pretty much ding free and original mother of pearl is in place. The neck has some old repairs as seen in photos but is matching serial number to the horn.The serial number is 139296, placing this horn as a late 1939 manufacture.
