Description Brand: Gibson Model: Earl Scruggs Standard Banjo Type: Bluegrass Country/Region of Manufacture: United States Number of Strings: 5 Era: Greg Rich Exact Year: 1992
Up for sale is a fine example of 1992 Greg Rich era, Gibson Earl Scruggs Standard, all original 5-string banjo (serial number: 2081) in excellent condition. With the original hard case. It sounds great!!: bright and loud as one would expect from this model made during the special era.The neck is straight, no big dings. The fret wear is about 25% worn on the most used low positions. The resonator has weather-cracking in the lacquer, which is however very ordinary among vintage Gibson banjos. It's very clean from pet/smoke-free home.I've owned this banjo for about five years, but have rarely played since I mostly play guitars only. I’m trying to downsize so it’s time to move on.I'm a very careful packer and have shipped many instruments over the years without a single problem. Shipment will be made via EMS of Japan Post (trackable and insured). Thanks for looking.-----------------------Instrument spec information from Gibson Catalog:EARL SCRUGGS STANDARD BANJO
