Reynolds Trumpet - Make An OfferHere’s a wonderful 1949 vintage F.A. Reynolds Professional model trumpet outfit complete with mouthpiece and very nice original Reynolds hardshell case. This horn has a really pretty 2-tone brass-nickel finish. The bell, receiver, crooks, and some of the slide tubing is brass while the leadpipe, caps, finger hooks, waterkeys, upper valve casings, and some slide tubing is nickel silver. This trumpet has been recently polished and re-lacquered by the previous owner so the finish is nearly 100% intact. Some other features are an adjustable 3rd slide ring, mother-of-pearl finger button inserts, and lever style water keys. This trumpet was designed to be a professional model trumpet and it was made in the USA by the F.A. Reynolds company. Serial number is 24XXX indicating that it was manufactured in 1949 according to the Reynolds serial # chart I found. This trumpet has smoothly operating valves and each piston is stamped with the horns unique serial #. The slides are all smooth and have just been lubricated. The valve slides all make a nice "pop" when pulled. Bell flare is engraved "F.A. REYNOLDS INC. CO. CLEVELAND O." This trumpet was restored and re-lacquered by the previous owner so it is not perfect. There are no major dents, but there is a little bit of waviness where dents were removed and the tuning slide tubing is not perfectly straight. This horn has been recently cleaned, and all felts/pads have been replaced. This Reynolds is 100% complete and plays great as you would expect from a vintage Reynolds, it's freeblowing with a rich beautiful tone. Original Reynolds woodshell plush-lined case included which is in very nice condition. The case has nice working latches, solid handle, plush-lined interior, a roomy area for accessories, mouthpiece slot, and metal "Reynolds" emblem plate on the exterior. This case provides excellent hard-shelled protection for the horn. Also included is a mouthpiece so you can start playing this trumpet instantly.
