1937 Rickenbacher Electro Model 59 Lap Steel
Estimated price for orientation: 825 $
Category: Lap and Steel Guitars
Class:
Description Exact Year: 1937
This pre-war '37 Rick is in excellent condition. As a matter of fact, it does not look 80 years old at all! In addition, it plays very well! All parts are original with the exception of the input jack and one screw on the saddle (I can include the input with the lap, as I still have it). There is a foreign object (sounds like a small piece of metal) inside the lap itself, but this can be removed by taking out the pickup and exposing the interior of the lap. It was in there when I had it and played it, so I'll leave it up to the buyer if they want to keep this piece of "history" or not. The horseshoe magnet measures 1 1/2 inches, as this was the recognizable Rick tone before they switched to 1 1/4 after the war. If you're looking for a collector's item and one that still sounds great, this piece is sure to meet your standards! I will accept best offers, but I will say I'm reluctant to sell this item in the first place. Therefore, I will only accept a realistic offer considering the item's incredible condition. Please contact me with any questions before purchasing. Thank you for viewing! PayPal only No Int'l sales No returns
