From my personal collection.... 1961 (PAF patent number sticker pickup) gold original cover ...you want a woody PAF tone at half the price...here it is...the best of the best...all original. All original....beautiful condition.....unmolested…original solder…all original parts: From my personal collection....this is the earliest patent number PAF pickup I have found. Removed by me from a 1961 harness (harness was used in a different project). Gold cover has not been removed…ever…..guaranteed to have black double lead wires and correct PAF features.Original cover has the correct corner geometry we have come to know and love.
Other features:I guarantee the following features are present when you remove the cover: "circle in a square" marking in the bobbin, double black bobbins, and correct bobbin wire color."L" tool markings present on feetgold pole pieces (original to this pickup)original M69 neck ring (arched) and original screws and springs1960's 2.35 inch alnico magnetsticker is intact7.06 k ohms reading8 inch 2 conductor lead wireJuicy PAF tone from my personal collectionThis is a neck pickup for one of the high end hollow bodies, such as the L5, Super 400, Byrdland, es-350 or Barney Kessel Custom. This is a "narrow spaced" PAF - commonly found in the neck position of the high end jazz guitars. But they are completely at home in a Les Paul or other Gibson solid body, and in fact, the strings line up on the pole pieces even better than with a ‘standard”- spaced pickup. (On a neck-spaced pickup, the overall width is the same as a standard "Les Paul" PAF, but the poles are spaced 1/8th of an inch closer together for the most accurate string alignment. It can be used in any of the Gibson guitars. You can't fake this pickup because of the spacing! )Nice long length of 2 conductor lead wire (original of course!). 8 inches Normal relic wear to the gold plating, with lots of the nickel undercoat displayed...fantastic relic appeal.... and original gold pole pieces.Patent number Sticker is all intact showing normal age related patina.Testing at 7.06 K ohms on my craftsman multi-tester.Comes with original neck ring (arched type) and original height screws and springs. Springs show the commonly found “white crust’ that marks them as vintage correct. This one is for the most serious player / collector!....A super clean nice pickup with PAT No. sticker in fantastic condition! shipping with insurance to usa via UPS 15.00 (most of the cost is for insurnace to protect both of us!)International shipping may be possible....please contact
