Description
Brand: Fender Model: Strat
UPC: Does not apply

This strat belongs to one of our friends/employees here at DeMont Guitars. We have gone over the guitar, set it up, and made sure it is all in good playable condition. More photos are available upon request. It is not all original! It was original Arctic White, but has been refinished. Replaced tuners and nut, refretted, two replaced pickups as well as some electronics. The case is not-original and has a replaced black handle. Neck is straight and plays great!SN: L04791

please see the history as recalled by the (3rd) owner below:I bought the Strat in the fall of 1974 from a guy in the dorm at Grand Valley Colleges (now Grand Valley State University) He told me that he bought it from a guy who abused the guitar, and later had to sell it because he had become a Christian. The guitars finish had been mostly removed, no case, and a 3 way pick up (pu) selector. There was and added mini switch that turned on the middle pu when the neck or bridge pu was selected. Only the neck pick up worked. I added an out of phase mini switch to reverse polarity on one of the pu’s.  Later, a 5 way switch was added and the holes for the mini switches were plugged with The 3way switch was replaced with a 5 way, and holes were plugged with mint green laminate to match the mint green pick guard as close as possible. The tuning keys were replaced with Bowen Handles (locking tuners no longer manufactured). The neck was refretted with jumbo fret, and the nut replaced with a graphite nut. Currently, the pu’s are Seymour Duncan vintage reverse wound pu in the middle, and an overwound left hand pickup in the bridge. The neck pick up is original. In the late 80’s the finish was replaced with a period replica Arctic white with yellow toner to replicate the finish of a ’64 Strat that was in Rick Cremer’s shop. The finish was done by Ken Bachelder (violin repairman, now deceased). I purchased the case, a tweed replica, to replace the 70’s era Fender case I was using. I had the broken whammy bar removed, and Rick Cremer retooled the hole to fit a larger, aftermarket stainless steel bar.
