The original Fish was designed in the late late '80s and was Bogner's second official product following the Triple Giant. The Triple Giant had three channels, and only 25 pieces were made of the original design, which all went to top artists such as Vernon Reid, Dan Huff, and Carl Verheyen, to mention a few. The first incarnation of the Fish - 4-channel all tube guitar preamp and logical evolution after the Triple Giant - was limited to only about 250 pieces made between 1990 and 1993. It's pretty rare to find one these days!The Fish reborn
Now the Fish lives again! The re-created preamp includes four distinctive channels: Country, with sparkling clean sound for all musical styles; Shark. with a lower-gain, very open-sounding, "Vox meets Fender" type of vibe; Strato, which gives you tight response and high, aggressive gain; and Brown, with a fat-sounding high-gain character. Just plug the Fish, with its cool blue anodized front panel and white chicken-head knobs, into your favorite power amp and cabinet, and you're ready for just about any style!
