The Last American Standard of South Dakota stands before you here as Lucky 13. She's a 2013 model which some have called fast, others incredible, but to myself she was always known as perfect. The 50's Custom Shop pickups cut through any wall of sound I've heard bands put out, and the cries sustain longer than those who visit the Wailing Wall. This prize was recently acquired from a changing of hands taking place within the Badlands Pawn / Rock Academy / K-Bad / Chuck Brennan / Dollar Loan Center implosion, which has created a musical vacuum in the area. Of all of my findings there this one was most intriguing. EVERYTHING was still in the case, which is adorned with a gold recessed "Fender" btw. As photographed you can see the hang tags, case keys (sealed), manual, Allen wrenches, bumper stickers, Purchase Order, and even the Sani-Pak are all there. Also included is the awesome guitar strap which is suede leather with a brass buckle. Cool design. It is perfectly set-up, intoned immaculately, and set for a full step + in both directions with the term bar. In case you didn't know, in October of 2013 Scott Gilbertson retired as CEO of Fender, and after that you could argue that Fender has progressively went downhill. They hired fancy-pants Andrew "Andy" Moony who's been all about profit, not music. He's the one who killed Fender Japan, is failing Fender China, and has even changed Fender protocols. Yep, you heard me right. You can't even get American Standard anymore. American Special or American Professional... Some can say it's a good thing, but I don't know how, unless they have stock in the company. Anyhow, I have my mind set on keeping this one, so unless your offer is worthwhile I likely will not accept. Thanks for looking!
