Powered by two EMG pickups and a single pickup selected knob and volume control. I purchased this thinking it might provide the sound for the music I play but it just didn't work that well. So I know somebody else could really use it. It's great for Rock and metal. As well as some music that requires warm rich tones. It has been in the case since purchase. It does have locking strap pins and a custom strap. It hasn't been used but about maybe an hour by me in my home studio.
