Reluctantly selling my Josef Metzner -Strad Model Violin- Dated 1920 - Please find details below: Josef Metzner Sachen - Antonius Stradivarius 1920 Violin ● Pirastro Oliv (G,D,A) Dominant (F) Fitted less than 6 months ago & lightly used
● New Tailpiece & expensive Tailwire Body Length= 14" Overall Length = 23 1/4" In Volume one of his Violin Identification & Price Guide, Rot Eahardt lists 6 diffetent Metzner models ranging from $75- $250 (in 1925) In 1978 he estimated the value range to be between $1200- $2500 I have another Metzner Violin that is not as well made, so the Violin I am selling is not bottom in the range, but which model in that range it is I don't know. The Violin is in good Condition, I am only selling my violin in order to part finance a C N Bazin Bow. I also had the Violin appraised at Alley Cats Violins, Eccleshall, Staffordshire in February 2017 and they specified an insurance value of between £2500 - £3000. I would be happy to accept £600 as a final price for the Violin should anyone wish to come & View/Play - Viewings are more than welcome Postage Via Royal Mail Special Delivery Guaranteed 1pm (Guaranteed next day delivery & Insured for up to £10,000) If You have any questions at all, Please feel free to get in touch.
