1977 Gretsch Chet Atkins SUPER AXE Orange 7680 with original HANG TAG

Olivia's Vintage would like to present this 1977 Gretsch 7680 Atkins Super Axe in its original Orange finish. It has a good playing neck, but the first several frets have been filed down very low. There is some fret buzz on the 2nd fret on both the low E and A strings, and fret buzz on the low E at the 6th, 7th, and 9th frets. It's all original with the exception of the tailpiece, tuning keys, one mini-switch, and one knob. There is one missing screw from the chipped corner of the battery cover. This vintage Super Axe comes with a later gig bag, but actually has its original Gretsch "OK Card" hang tag with the matching serial number. The guitar looks great with some very minor nicks + dings, a few minor finish cracks, some small cracks in the plastic panels and plastic pickup rings, and other cosmetic wear. The guitar itself remains structurally sound with no cracks, breaks, or repairs. The prongs at the ends of two wires that fit into the cartridge connector for the Phase Shifter had broken, so we bypassed the connectors to make direct contact. Now all electronics work and sound great with an incredible sounding Compressor and Phase Shifter built-in.
