FREE SHIPPING for one lucky collector, my gift to you.I am thrilled to announce our little treasured Noble & Cooley toy drum has been under professional CURIOUS investigation by the Noble & Cooley Museum authorities.I am so pleased to have found the museum, communicated, learned, with an Ebay member, who is also Noble & Cooley Curator for the museum, via. Your toy drum was in fact made by Noble & Cooley.The decoupage art still hangs on the wall at the company office in Granville along with other designs used to make similar drums. This style drum appears in N&C catalogs during the 1890's but due to a factory fire in 1889 records that would prove the actual manufacture date for your drum were lost. The oldest catalog is 1885 but there is no picture to go with the descrioption (see attached). I can send photos of the pertinent pages from the 1895 and 1898 catalogs if you are interested. N&C also made a similar decoupage drum depicting the 1893 Chicago Columbian Exposition, which is an extremely rare drum. Here's a photo of the series of decoupage drum panels used by N&C including the one on your drum. You'll note that the top two images are from the 1893 Columbian Exposition, indicating that all the panels date from around that period. Feel free to pass the image along to the successful bidder, as it supports the provenance of the drum. Note that without inspecting the drum itself no authentication can be guaranteed however the attached speaks for itself.__________________________________________

Sorry no hallmarks.Metal clamps on top and 5 at the bottom spun/twirled 100% cotton rope passes through the metal clamps. 2 leather tongues, original neck strap all intact no neglect fabulous addition to any collection PRIDE OF OWNERSHIPCondition is AMAZING EXEMPLARY 115 yrs old of stunning beauty. 1893-1895. The decoupage panel of children marching in patriotic parade is REMARKABLE. NO NEGLECT colours brights no sun kissed areas. The three lil' marching children at the very end are all carrying rifles. An American, French and British.PLEASE NOTE: Drummer in photo is playing the exact drum being sold with panel childs marching band. All the children are wearing a different military uniform. The flag bearer seems to be a pilgrim of the era.ORIGINAL Gut snare top has small area where gut has separated approx. 3 inches long along edge. Please see detailed photo gallery. Bottom gut snare PERFECT CONDITION.
