VERY RARE ALEXANDER MAINZ FRENCH HORN 101 N MODEL NICKEL-SILVERDETACHABLE SCREW BELL FAMOUS ORIGINE*Serial Number: 1196Period : 70' s*Bore size:0.468 inch/11.89 mmBell diameter:12 inch/305 mmLarge Throat detachable bell* This Alexander French Horn was personally owned by Georges Suc who was the super first soloist of the"Orchestre de Paris" during 60's and 70's.He played this favorite Alexander during the 70's as super soloist at the"Orchestre de Paris" *The 101 N (N for nickel-silver)model is considered by Alexander Mainz as "similar to the 103 model" with a difference : the 101N use a large bell identical to the original Kruspe horner bell and the design is also a slight different.This French Horn was built in Nickel silver.That is a specific aspect of this French Horn always manufacture on special order by Alexander Mainz today.It is one of the most expensive french Horn made by Alexander because of the employed Nickel silver metal, high quality metal difficult to work.*This French Horn has some patches on three slides.It has some cracks on the larger third slide but it is superficial with no air leaks.Otherwise the nickel silver metal is in a very good shape everywhere on the french horn.*The French Horn has some rare dents, dings, some scratches and use tracks.Some screws have been replaced on the rotary valves.The rotary valves are functionning perfectly.The instrument can be adjusted to stand in F or Bb.The compression is very good The instrument was revised and it is ready to play.The Horn is in an excellent playing order.The sound is homogeneous from low to high notes.The sound is rich, full, deep and round.The sound warms up to a brassy tone at full volumebut never too bright or heavy.This is a unique wonderful Alexander sound.The Horn is very enjoy to play.It is extremely precise and tone is accurate.It is not an Alexander model among so many others Alexander: It was the Georges Suc's wonderful choice to play as the first soloist at the "Orchestre de Paris" !* It is supplied with a solid used "Protect" bag + a Schilke 31 used mouthpiece.***FREE WORLDWIDE SHIPPING*Parcel will be carefully packed - Sent promptly Registered with Insurance and Track Number with Colissimo International Nota : plse consider if any Custom Fees to add to the Price.**** IMPORTANT - PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING !
