For over 100 years Besson has been associated with some of the best made brass intruments in the world and this instrument is no exception. The instrument is an original (not replated/refurbished) mid 1980`s UK built Besson/Boosey & Hawkes intermediate trigger Bb Cornet. Finished in bright silver plate this instrument is in good condition and has just undergone a full service. The BE-723 series cornet is basically identical to the medium bore BE-927 sovereign cornet with the only difference being that the BE-723 has a 3rd trigger and the BE-927 has a 1st and 3rd trigger. The silver plate is 100% intact and has a good appearence, we have looked over the instrument carefully and it appears to be dent free except for a couple of slight niks in the sheperds crook bend, other than these and some general wear marks the instrument is still in very good condition. The instrument has has just been serviced, all the slides trigger and valves move freely and smoothly, and the instrument plays with a great tone. It is supplied in its original hard case which externally is in good condition but is now showing wear inside with some of the lining wearing out. This instrument makes a great alternative to the more expensive Sovereign model with the only difference being that the Sovereign has 2 triggers rather than the one, on the other hand a Sovereign in this condition will cost you double the price.
