Description

This is a top-of-the-line Paramount Style F Tenor Banjo. It has intricate wood mother of pearl inlays and gold plating.  This banjo has been professionally restored and is in excellent playable condition.  It comes with its original sturdy case which has been reinforced on all edges with black "Gorilla" tape. The small leather straps which keep the case lid in the uptight position will need to be replaced.  The serial number found inside the pot is #12153 which means it was manufactured sometime during the years of 1929 -1930.This banjo was owned by Frank Mazur of Pittsburgh, PA who passed in 1986 (30 years ago).  This particular instrument was Frank's favorite banjo. Frank was a former President of the Fretted Instrument Guild of America (FIGA) and was known for his excellent elegant playing style.  He could play the ukelele like no one else. The original Page tuners have been replaced with gold plated brass tuners. Apparently it was not uncommon for discerning players to change the original Paramount Page tuners which were manufactured from cast iron and were known to break. This banjo will be shipped anywhere in the world.  Appropriate shipping costs will apply.  Free local pick-up is available.Although this banjo has a reserve price which may not be met at auction's end, I reserve the right to make a second chance offer to the highest bidder.
