This is a Used Vintage 1974 RICKENBACKER Model 480~6 String ELECTRIC GUITAR~Jetglo Black color~w/ HARD CASE~Made in USA. I was told that this guitar was made in September of 1974....indicated by the letters "NI" on the plate where the patch cord connects to the guitar.
This Guitar has been tested, and Plays & sounds Great...feels good in your hands. It has Excellent Low and Straight neck action...frets shown Only light wear. Has Original neck with ma-hogany? wood fretboard. The tuning machines are replacements, as there are holes in the back of the tuning head from the original ones. I believe the electronics are all original, and they still working fine. The Treble Tone Knob is missing the Circular aluminum Label from the top of the knob. Some of the chrome/metal hardware has light signs of oxidation, but still Decent shape. The Strings are old and they should be replaced.
It DOES have some dings, nicks, & chips here and there from playing usage over the years, AND there are 2 crack repairs in the body where the neck attaches to the body in the corners...seems to be a strong repair, but visible on the back (check ALL 19 pictures below).
It has seen some play usage, But Overall, it is Still a Great guitar to play! The Hard Case appears to its original, and is formed inside to the guitar shape...It Does have some wear and tear from usage, but is Still a Good case... Add this one to your collection.
