This DW Bronze snare is for someone looking for a loud and very sensitive drum. Amazing for both live and recording situations, this drum is great in all tuning ranges. While a 13", this shell has great depth and is nothing like a piccolo. This version of the bronze was made back in 2003 when DW produced cast shells (like the well known Tama Bell Brass) and is HEAVY, weighing in at ~15lbs. DW stopped doing that over a decade ago and now is your opportunity to grab this rare drum. Current heads are practically brand new Remo CS batter and ambassador hazy resonant.So for those wanting ripping rim shots and cutting ghost notes, this is the snare you want.
