EXTREMELY RARE 1979 Fender Anniversary Stratocaster in WHITE!!Please read all very carefullyI bought this guitar in 1986 from a former Fender employee. The first 400 or so were painted white. The paint was faulty and all unsold guitars were recalled from the music shops and repainted Silver. Only a handful made to the public. Fender employees were welcome to buy the returned white guitars for cost, but they would have to have a "2" stamped on the headstock. He was one of the only ones who bought one. He routed it for a humbucker and used that for a while. He kept the original pickgard and routed another Anniversary pickgard. Both are includedAlso included is the 1979 Bridge pickup that was removed. Shortly before he sold me the guitar in 1986, he took it to the new Norco Fender shop and had it resprayed in the original color.The guitar has spent most of the last 25 years in its original case. Please look at all the pictures carefully and ask all questions prior to bidding. The bridge pickup is a Seymour Duncan lil '59The guitar comes with the original case, The original tone pot that was removed, The original pick up for the bridge and an extra 1979 anniversary Strat pick guard that has been routed for a home bucker. I've described the guitar as well as I possibly can and as accurately as possible. No international sales and I will ship to the continental US only.
