The banjo mandolin was first introduced by Gibson in April 1919 with THIS MODEL.  It features a 10 & 1/2" head, this has a natural Joseph A. Rogers, Jr calf skin head, the finest, 24 brackets, the original string guard, arm guard, original tuners, all operational and an ebony fingerboard.  The instrument is in great condition with a little corrosion on the plating which can be easily cleaned.  The rim and neck are solid and without any splits or cracks.  The neck is straight as an arrow, without any bows or warps.  The action is low and the instrument plays better than new.  There is a solid hard shell case, plush lined, original to the instrument.  It is patched and stained on the outside as shown in the photographs.  THIS IS A PIECE OF GIBSON HISTORY.
