Up for sale is a custom built Telemaster I had made last year. The guitar was built to match a prototype that Fender built back in the late 50's. Similar guitars are available today from the Fender custom shop for upwards of $5k, or from Nash guitars for about $2500. This guitar plays beautifully and I'm only selling it because I need the money. The body, finishing, and relicing were done by MJT guitars. They do an amazing job. This is a rare custom Fender colour from the old days called Charcoal Frost. It''s a deep graphite colour and very beautiful. I had them age the finish so it has a greenish-grey appearance. All of the dents and dings are part of the relicing process, to give it the look and feel of a 60 year old guitar. It has always been very well taken care of and only played in my studio. Guitar is fitted with Seymour Duncan Telecaster Antiquity pick-ups. Hard tail Tele bridge. Top hat selector. Kluson tuners. Fantastic set-up. Action is nice and low and the guitar plays beautifully.Notes on the relicing: In addition to previously mentioned relicing...Guitar was ordered with heavily yellowed nitrocellulose lacquer, and light checking throughout. The finish on the back of the neck is worn down but not rubbed off completely.
The neck was custom ordered though Musikraft. Quick summary - Slab neck, rosewood fingerboard, all clay dots, 21 fret, 25.5 scale, thin C shape, Here are the complete specs copied and pasted from the order form...
