VINTAGE 1970’s WATKINS WEM COPICAT TAPE ECHO UNIT YES, THIS IS THE COMPLETE KIT An IC300 COPICAT in AMAZING original conditionand in working order SO, A UNIQUE OPPORTUNITY TO BUY A WATKINS IC300 COPICAT KIT THAT HAS BEEN VERY WELL LOOKED AFTER.IT COMES WITH: * ORIGINAL BRANDED WEM cover – they were always lost
* AN ORIGINAL BASF SPLICING KIT - to make new tape loops
* A VINTAGE BIB TAPE SPLICER - in unused condition
* INSTRUCTIONS - identifying all controls and connections
* CIRCUIT diagram Finding another COPICAT IC300 with its original cover is rare enough, but to find one with cover, the extra accessories in such amazing working condition are NIL!So BUY-IT-NOW or make a BEST OFFER before someone else does . . . . . The IC300 has 4 inputs for guitars or microphones so it may be used as a basic mixer. The recording / playback heads are individually selected and combined with GAIN, SWELL and SUSTAIN (REVERB) settings to produce a very wide range of ECHO effects on guitar and/or mic. The standard WEM branded Foot Switch and Jack output connections are in good original condition. COPICAT machines sold in large numbers in the 60's and 70's. But the WATKINS COPICAT IC300 using integrated circuits made in the 1970s is widely regarded as the most robust and reliable version. This is why demand / prices for really good examples of the IC300 COPICAT steadily increase year on year and will continue to rise as they become even harder to find.
