This is a customised version of my RTRAIL model lap steel, in a 24.75"" scale length, from my company, Fouke Industrial Guitars. You can check out my website at: industrialguitar.com. It is built around a longer 24.75" scale length, with an open E tuning currently, and features all aluminum construction. It uses a heavy wall aluminum tube style frame, and when combined with the aluminum plate construction, provides a great deal of sustain while still only weighing in at approximately 9 lbs normally. ** This paticular version weighs in around 10 lbs, and has the duplicate modifications to the internal structure that I supply to my endorsing artists: Dan Walsh (Zeman & Walsh), Jordan Rudess (Dream Theater), Jamie Humphries, Damian Darlington (The British Pink Floyd Show) (Brit Floyd Show). These versions are set up for large stage use and very high volumes, and the mods basically increase sustain further while adding to the density of the tone. ** This instrument is primarily geared towards amplified play and performance & a high degree of portability. It does have some acoustic volume and does retain enough acoustic response for easy practicing. The color of the instrument is plain brushed aluminum (SILVER). Currently set up for right handed play.
