I was a Benedetto dealer for about a month in 2008 (that is my best guess on the year, might of been 09). Not my choice to be for only a month. My shop was doing well with arch tops and was starting to get good traffic in the jazz circles. I got a call from a Benedetto sales rep one day asking me to carry the line. We worked out the details, signed the paper work and did the 6 piece buy in. Yes six pieces of these really expensive and slow moving hard to find a buyer for guitars. It took about 4 weeks to get them in. Literally the day that they showed up my rep called me and told me the news that they were cutting off all of their dealers and going direct on their web site. I was so _____ that I told him to shove these guitars _____. This _____ tells me about the freight charges to me, back to him, and a restocking fee if I wanted to break the deal.
I laughed at him and posted 5 of the 6 on ebay at my cost (plus fees and all). So they sat there for 3 months at cost. Hopefully for that short amount of time the posted prices on a new Benedetto made some people scratch there heads and read the crazy description of why there were up there like that.....
You can tell I am still mad about the treatment I got. They knew what they were doing and just wanted to sell 6 guitars before they went full retail. This was the one guitar that I put on the side and said this one has to stay here and not get blown out on ebay. I put it in the back on a shelf and kept it there for some one to come in that asked for something special. Well, that never happened, and she has been sitting in back for the last 8 years. I downsized that shop and moved to a smaller location, and look what I find in the move.... The Bravo Deluxe. It is time for her to find a new home. This is an exceptional guitar. I am not a big fan of the 2008 sales staff, but they do make a guitar that puts the rest to shame. Perfect condition. The case has some tarnish on the buckles. Still has the warning sheet about letting it warn up to room temp before opening.SHIPPING AND PAYMENT INFORMATION Shipping and handling is $50 for the 45 states. It is $75 for Washington, Oregon, California, Florida, and Maine.Absolutely no international, Alaskan, or Hawaiian bidders. Local pick up is ok in a North Western Chicago suburb.
We do combine shipping charges if the items fit in the same package!!
