Estimated price for orientation: 810 $
Category: Toms
Class:
Description Brand: Rogers Country/Region of Manufacture: United States Exact Year: 1963-1964
The lugs show some scuffs and scratches, but the overall appearance of the chrome is good. ***READ CAREFULLY***READ CAREFULLY***READ CAREFULLY***READ CAREFULLY***READ CAREFULLY***The bottom rim is original with a narrow crimp, and has some minor corrosion, and the bottom 8 tension rods are original square-head type that show some age/patina. The top rim is a newer, high quality Gibraltar 2.3mm, and the top 8 tension rods are also newer. Two of the hex legs are original to the drum and measure 20-1/4" high, and have flat tops with index lines. The third leg is old and matches the others very well but is 22-5/8" high, and has a tapered top, and no index lines. The knobby leg caps have "Rogers Pat. Pend U.S.A" stamped on them, and the tightening screws show expected wear, but function well. NOTE: One of the leg holders has a very slight amount of rotational play, (1/16" or less), that does not cause any issue when standing. The original tone control/mute/muffler assembly is present and functional. The top head is and older Remo Ambassador batter which shows some wear, and the current bottom head is an older Remo Diplomat batter. This drum is one of the rarest in terms of size and finish, especially from the "golden age" of Rogers/Cleveland with all of the most desirable attributes, as the vast majority of Rogers kits used 16" floor toms. It's a great opportunity to complete a 20-12-14 kit, or to augment an existing kit to a dual floor tom set-up.It is being sold absolutely as-is, as-shown/described with no returns, so please study the pictures carefully and ask any question prior to placing a bid.
