Up for sale, a 2016 Fender '65 American Vintage series Jazzmaster from the "Thin Skin" series in exceptional condition and in perfect working order. 100% stock and complete with the original case candy and brown tolex G&G hardshell case, this is a prime example of a limited run Jazzmaster, made exclusively for Wildwood guitars with modern features such as 6105 fretwire and a 9 1/2" fretboard radius. Near mint, the guitar sports a factory Aztec Gold nitro lacquer finish, accented by the matching headstock and three-ply white pickguard.Tonally, this guitar delivers a wide range of classic Fender tones, and the electronics on the instrument are the same as seen on the standard run '65 American Vintage Jazzmaster. Weighing in at 7lbs 14oz, this guitar has a great acoustic resonance, is a particularly light example, and has a rich unplugged sound that translates well through the dynamic and warm USA made Jazzmaster single coil pickups. The bridge pickup is all sparkle and twang, while the neck position is rich and nuanced, with more low end fullness on tap via the Rhythm Circuit, which is ideal for articulating darker Jazz voicings or thickening up your favorite fuzz pedal. We've dialed in this Jazzmaster here at Mike & Mike's Guitar Bar where we specialize in Fender Offset guitars, and this instrument boasts 10-46 strings, comfortable action, and solid intonation. The one-piece maple neck has a round and chunky C shaped profile, measuring .84" deep at the 1st fret and graduating to .98" at the 12th fret for a very comfortable playing experience. The bound rosewood fretboard has pearl dot inlays and the 6105 fretwire is virtually flawless. The factory installed bone nut measures 1 5/8" in width, and the headstock features a gloss nitro Aztec Gold finish to match the body, topped off with a transitional mid-60s Fender waterslide decal. All of the electronics work as they should, with near perfect plastic parts and spotless chrome. The vibrato has a solid and smooth feel for quick surfy dives and shimmies. In terms of cosmetic wear, there is virtually none to report, and even with the thin and resonant "Thin Skin" nitro lacquer finish, we can't find a single nick or scratch on the guitar. Even still, we'll conservatively call this guitar "near mint," but it's a showroom clean example that's sure to satisfy. The original black tolex G&G hardshell case is included (also near mint), along with the hangtags and case candy!***We are dealers for the Mastery M1 bridge, Offset Vibrato, and Lollar Jazzmaster pickups, any or all of which can be installed prior to shipment for an additional charge***
