I bought a kit and built this amplifier circuit but wanted an "old school" look to the cabinet and I wanted the knobs, switches, and inputs to be on the front. The faceplate is stainless steel and the chassis is welded to suit the layout. The tubes are NOT chinese tubes, and the 16 ohm English manufactured Celestion G12 T75 speaker is plenty loud and clear. The turret board is accessible from the backside and can be removed easily for modifications if desired. Speaker is 75 watts so kt88 modification is very possible. There is room on the faceplate to add a volume pot for master volume or reverb tank if desired. The amp sounds amazing and has been played a few times onstage with a full band and volume level blends perfectly for small venues. The output transformer I built and wound by hand to suit the 16 ohm speaker from the 6v6gt push/pull configuration with double C core construction for maximum output. This amp plays like a dream and you will absolutely enjoy playing it as it stands!
