Up for sale is a used vintage Fender Telecaster Custom Deluxe in natural finish. This was built approximately in 1973, according to the pot codes, but could be an early '74 as well. Everything is original except for the neck pickup. It has been replaced with a vintage patent number humbucker as shown, which required some additional holes to be drilled to the pickguard. The guitar works beautifully as well, but I don't think the switch is functioning properly because the middle position on the switch doesn't engage both pickups - just the bridge pickup. So, instead of a 3-way switch, it's only a 2-way switch between the bridge and neck pickup. So, to put it another way, the top position on the switch activates the neck pickup, while the middle and down position pickups engages the bridge. Hope that's clear. Everything else functions perfectly, including all the pots and jack and rest of the hardware. This guitar is a one of a kind sounding guitar and has a nice fat tone coming of these humbuckers. The neck is perfectly straight and is really comfortable to play with. Check out all the hi-res pics and ask any questions you might have.
