First introduced in 1997 was the American Standard Strat dubbed the "Delta Tone".Delta Tone refers to the tone control circuit and the ALNICO V Magnets and plastic bobbin Pickups. This guitar also has a brass nut. I've never played a guitar with a brass nut but my experience is that it produces more sustain and smoother string movement when bending or using the whammy.To me, its really as good as you get with a Strat. Again the guitar is like it just came out of the box new. Comes with a just as nice original Fender Hard shell Case.
